Review of the Jack Reacher Series, by Lee Child

When you start reading the Jack Reacher books, you have to be prepared for the fact that these are not the movies. The loquacious Child can make a one second movie scene drone on for several pages. If you are listening to the book on tape as a way to pass the time for your long morning commute to work, it’s fantastic. However, if you’re on a tight schedule and just want to get to the action scenes, you’ll have to wade through the long-winded descriptions of every detail about many topics which have no bearing on the plot.

That said, the stories are excellent, and I’m continuing on in the series, likely to read them all.
